A 4th-generation resident of Los Angeles, Dr. Robert Rovetti is currently an associate professor of mathematics in the Seaver College of Science and Engineering at Loyola Marymount University in LA, where he teaches courses in applied mathematics, statistics, and probability.  He is an MAA Project NExT Fellow, and was a Visitor at the Mathematical Biosciences Institute at The Ohio State University in Fall 2011.  In 2008 he received his Ph.D. in Biomathematics from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he was a recipient of an NIH Systems & Integrative Biology fellowship, and a member of the Cardiovascular Research Lab. Prior to his graduate training, Robert worked as a Research Analyst for the biotechnology firm Amgen Inc. supporting the development of new drugs to treat anemia in oncology patients.
